Big Time is a cooperative, action role-playing game where players
assume the role of time-traveling heroes battling across history. It features
exciting mash-ups of different time periods, where famous characters, events,
and technology collide providing an unforgettable experience.

Big Time can be played for free and will battle
alongside six other warriors to kill monstrous entities and earn valuable NFT
loot. Players will enjoy customizing their characters with armor and clothes
from various periods in history.

Big Time’s in-game economy is based on the following elements and
assets: Time Machines, Time Keepers, Hour Glasses, Forges, and SPACE NFTs.

Big Time offers you the ability to freely trade, buy, and sell NFTs
without having an external cryptocurrency wallet. They have introduced their
Vault technology, their own patented way of streamlining transactions between
buyers and sellers. This technology ensures instant payments and settlements
while giving players the surety of safe and secure assets. The Vault increases
the security and safety of your NFTs by removing the possibility of lost wallet
passwords and information. Their Vault technology also eradicates the need for
network fees which is a big bonus for users.

Over a dozen major guilds have joined the Big Time economy. Some

In May 2021, Big Time
Studios raised $21 million in two funding rounds. Investors who participated in
the initial $10.3 million round include FBG Capital, North Island Ventures,

Big Time is a cooperative multiplayer RPG that combines fast-action
combat, the collectability of NFTs, and a history-spanning adventure through
time and space to create a truly unprecedented gaming experience. The game will
be played from the third-person perspective and built on Ethereum. Players will
explore ancient mysteries and futuristic civilizations as they battle their way
through history. Pick up rare NFT Loot, Cosmetics, and Tokens as players fight
and defeat enemies. Collect and trade NFTs to decorate the player’s avatar and
personal Time Machine, where they can hang out with friends.

Big Time can be played for free and offer limitless environments and
infinite replayability. Unlike other blockchain games that require players to
set up their own virtual wallets, Big Time integrates the entire system into
the game itself, making it a completely seamless process for a non-crypto
native to get started. 

Set in the distant future at the very end of time where all stars in the
universe are blinking out of existence as massive black holes slowly swallow them
up. 

“Big Time” is the street slang for “Paradox Corporate,” the company that
owns time.&nbsp; Paradox Corporate sells “Time
Collisions” which act as lifeboats for the survivors looking to escape the
depressing existence at the end of the universe. Time Collisions allow
survivors to live in the past where they can come and go as quickly as walking
through a doorway. But, something has gone very wrong with the alien technology
that powers the Time Collisions.&nbsp; All of
the Time Collisions have started to crash into each other, accelerating the end
of the universe as the walls of time and space collapse.&nbsp; 

The main mission will lead players to confront a mysterious threat
tearing apart the walls of time and collapsing history in unexpected ways. Join
teachers like Albert Einstein and Merlin as you learn tools to battle against
Paradox Corporate to save the universe.

In the beginning, players must choose a starting class. Players will not
be able to change classes until they find a Pocket Watch by defeating enemies.
Pocket Watches allow players to switch between different classes. Pocket Watches
for each class are used to save players’ progress as they level up.

Weapons will have various stats and will be more or less effective
against various types of defenses (currently Barrier, Shielding, Armor, and
Health). Each weapon type also has a combo system that is a combination of LMB
(Left mouse buttons) and RMB (Right mouse button) clicks.

Gears fit within a pocket watch. Some grant additional abilities and/or
stat bonuses. Some are just rusted gears with no magical properties. Gears can be found in portals or purchased from
vendroids. They are available for all classes and can be found as any rarity.

Armor has Various Stats and
bonuses given when equipped. Armor can be found throughout the world of bigtime
or purchased from a vendroid as well. Higher Rarity armor will grant higher
stat bonuses as well as maybe even a unique skill.

Bags are Items that give you
additional inventory slots &amp; stat bonuses depending on the Tier &amp;

enemies when defeated, and come in many colors and sizes.

Consumables can be found throughout the world of BigTime
or purchased from a vendroid.

Defeating enemies can provide
collectible items and token rewards, but it's the boss at the end that will
drop the valuable NFTs.

Big
Time offers two types of NFTs in-game: cosmetic and utility NFTs. The latter
gives you the ability to produce, upgrade, and repair in-game items such as
rare weapons, armor skins, and the Hourglass, which unlocks token loot.&nbsp; NFTs can be obtained in-game by defeating
enemies and bought/sold in the Big Time Marketplace.

Cosmetic NFTs can be found
in-game by defeating enemies or purchased from other players in the
Marketplace. These NFTs enhance the appearance of your weapons and armor with
additional flairs such as particle effects and sounds. They do not affect
in-game stats such as strength or dexterity; in that sense, Big Time is not a
pay-to-win game. Cosmetic NFTs are produced primarily by Armories and Forges,
which are player-operated.

Examples include weapon and armor cosmetic skins.

SPACE NFTs are used in-game to
expand your Time Machine. Time Wardens, Forgers, and Armories are installed
onto your SPACE to let you engage in the in-game creator economy. For example,
Time Wardens produce Hourglass NFTs, which can be equipped to unlock token
loot.

Examples
include SPACE, Time Wardens, Forges, Armories, and Hourglasses.

SPACE comes in
various rarities and sizes. The larger players’ SPACE, the greater players’ production
capabilities in-game. The rarity of SPACE dictates the rarity of the items
produced. SPACE is not required to play the game. If you would like to produce in-game
NFTs, SPACE and its upgrades such as Time Wardens and Forges will be needed.

SPACE is capped at
600,000 total fixed supply. Last December 2021, 60,000 SPACE (10% of the total supply) has
been made available for purchase in the
public sale. Players can purchase SPACE on Big Time
marketplace or OpenSea.

Gamers will play to earn tokens as they battle across history, defeating
enemies and undertaking dangerous quests. In addition to their collection
value, tokens have incredible in-game utility as well. Tokens can be used to
purchase ultra-rare and exclusive cosmetic NFTs, speed up crafting times, and
repair damaged and depleted items.

The tokens
and SPACE are intrinsically linked. In order to get started, you’ll need to acquire SPACE for your pocket universe
and place a Time Keeper portal.

2.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;
Unlock a Time Keeper in-game or buy one on our marketplace. Once
the Time Keeper portal is placed, you may summon this mysterious being of
incredible power.

3.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;
Acquire your Hourglass. Gathering tokens requires the use of a
special in-game item known as an Hourglass, which can be acquired from the Time
Keeper. However, players will also have the option to buy an Hourglass from the
marketplace, or borrow one from a guild.

4.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;
With your
Hourglass in hand, go hunt for tokens in
the game. Properly equipped players
may now receive tokens as they battle dangerous enemies and undertake amazing
challenges across history.

The sands of time
are not unlimited, however. Players must periodically visit the Time Keeper to
replenish the sand before they run out. Recharging your Hourglass allows you to keep
finding tokens while you play.

—Big
Time’s Vault Technology

One of the most ground-breaking components integrated within the game’s
architecture is its patented Vault technology, which natively makes NFT-based
gaming accessible to a mass audience, alleviating the need for external wallet
management, self-custody of assets, and costly on-chain transactions. Thus, via
its Vault, the studio will reportedly store records of items created or
purchased in its own database and, technically, Big Time won’t automatically
mint the NFTs on the blockchain to keep transaction costs low.

Technically speaking, via the Vault, players will be able to store their
in-game items in an off-chain custody system designed and patented by the
Studio. The user experience of the vault is pretty much
like having an inventory in any RPG. This essentially equates to a private database where both NFTs and
regular items can coexist, enabling players to bring an asset from off-chain to
on-chain at any point in time, which could prove to be a valuable proposition
as it pertains to the adoption of NFT technology by AAA gaming protocols.

In this case, Big Time Studios is asking users to trust it with security
for their items. Some people may object that Ethereum uses a lot of energy. The
team noted ways to make it cleaner, such as purchasing of carbon credits to
offset the energy costs. At some point, Ethereum will move to a better form of
verification, away from proof of work associated with heavy mining and
computing costs, toward proof of stake, which uses much less energy.

Big Time Studios
announced in May of 2021 that it had raised $21M to introduce non-fungible
tokens (NFTs) to the largest game economies. The funds will come in two parts:
